R273 SWP: commercial light truck, all-season radial. Features: sidewall protector rib (SWP) on both sidewalls to minimize damage from curbing and abrasion; lightweight construction with two polyester body plies and two steel belts for lower rolling resistance and better fuel economy; shoulder tie bars for resistance to irregular treadwear; all-season, highway rib tread design for improved wear and wet weather traction; M+S rating.
Sizes: LT235/75R15, LT225/75R16, LT245/75R16, LT215/85R16, LT235/85R16, 7.50R16 LT, 8.75R16.5 LT, 9.50R16.5 and 8R17.5.
M773 SWP: commercial light truck, all-season, all-position radial.
Features: Similar to the R273 SWP; more aggressive tread design provides enhanced traction on snow and ice.
Sizes: essentially the same as for the R273 SWP.
Potential applications for the R273 SWP and M773 SWP include delivery vans, service trucks, moving trucks and fleet vehicles.
Express Medium/Heavy Bias: medium/heavy truck tire.
Features: designed for local and long-haul applications; nylon cord construction, with six plies and two belts; traction tread designed for positive grip.
Sizes: seven popular tube-type sizes and two tubeless sizes-11-22.5 and 11-24.5.
Express ST: truck, bias trailer tire.
Features: belted construction; aggressive six-rib tread design promotes lateral stability and improved tracking capability.
Sizes: five, for various applications.
Grandtrek: light truck, all-season radial.
Features: M&S rating; all-season tread pattern with four wide circumferential grooves, deep lateral grooves and cross-cut siping for optimum traction; variable-pitch tread design, dimensionally stable polyester body plies and a shock-absorbing bead apex combine to deliver a smooth, quite ride.
Sizes: 31 10.50R15, load range B; LT215/85R16, LRD; and LT235/85R16, LRE; seven additional sizes planned, including two P-metric sizes.
The Grandtrek is designed to provide a level of quality and performance comparable to Dunlop's Grandtrek TG-series original equipment tires, which are fitted on several Toyota and Nissan light trucks and sport utility vehicles.
T819: truck, all-position radial for on- and off-highway applications.
Features: four-rib tread design with tapered grooves to minimize stone retention and help evacuate
water; tough tread compound to resist cutting and chipping while wearing well on the highway; low-stress, body ply contour design for improved casing durability and retreadability.
Sizes: 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 currently available; four additional sizes planned by October-10.00R20, 11.00R20, 12.00R20 and 11.00R22.
Unisteel G300 Series: radial truck tire line for line-haul service, comprising the G357 steer tire, the G362 and G328 drive tires, and the G314 trailer tire.
New features: new ``super tensile steel'' wire used to gain a 20-percent improvement in belt strength, compared with conventional steel, a 30-percent improvement in fatigue resistance and a 7-percent reduction in overall tire weight, Goodyear said; latest computer-developed ply-line reduces stress levels in the tire, while the mold shape was redesigned to promote even casing growth for improved durability and retreadability; new sidewall compounding provides greater resistance to impact and scuff damage, as well as ozone/oxygen damage; warranty protection extended to five years (from four) on G300 tires manufactured after July 1, 1996; casing value set at $100 throughout the five-year warranty period, regardless of the number of retreadings, as long as Goodyear processes and materials are used.
XRV: recreational vehicle radial.
Features: designed specifically for use on motorhomes that otherwise take larger-size truck tires; tread design incorporates low-aspect-ratio ribs that generate less heat and reduce tread squirm for improved durability and handling; four see-through circumferential grooves and multi-siping for better grip and wet traction; cooler-running tread compound improves durability and fuel-efficiency; increased ozone resistance in the sidewalls; load/pressure information in large print to facilitate proper maintenance.
Sizes: 225/70R19.5, load range F, available now; two additional sizes planned, both load range G-235/80R22.5 by year-end; 255/80R22.5 by next March.
