The listing is broken into seven geographical regions: North America, comprising the U.S. and Canada; Latin America, including Mexico, Central and South America; Europe, including Russia and most of the former Soviet Bloc nations; Asia, including India, Japan, the Pacific Rim and former states of the Soviet Union located in Asia; Africa; the Middle East; and Australia and New Zealand.
Within each region, tire makers are listed by country, with names of parent companies, if any, following in parentheses.
Plant information shows: the year each unit opened; whether its workers belong to a union; the number of production workers; the types of tires made at the facility; and its production capacity.
