GRANADA HILLS, Calif.-The Southern California Tire, Automotive & Retread Services Association is hoping to cull new leadership and boost membership by establishing additional chapters. The SCTARSA has been without a president since Norm Fargo of Frank Fargo Tire Co., Los Angeles, resigned earlier this year due to time constraints. No successor has stepped forward.
The SCTARSA has created an ad hoc committee of past presidents that will focus on developing more local chapters and reorganizing the board to include chapter representatives. New officers and directors will be elected in December.
Currently the association has Hispanic, San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles chapters. By year's end, it hopes to open chapters for West Los Angeles, Ontario/Inland Empire and San Fernando Valley.
In addition to these changes, the association office has moved. It can now be contacted at: 10240 Petit Ave., Granada Hills, Calif. 91343-1018; (909) 393-9300.
