Continuing its expansion plans, Clearwater, Fla.-based Don Olson Tire & Auto Centers recently opened two outlets-one in Tampa, Fla., the week of March 31; one in Royal Palm Beach, Fla., April 14. The firm also expects to open locations in Palm Beach Gardens, Bloomingdale, Boynton Beach, Gainesville, Leesburg and Broward County, Fla., by October, President Larry Morgan said.

R.H. Scales Co. Inc., a 62-year-old wholesaler of tires, wheels and related equipment, moved its corporate headquarters from Boston to Westwood, Mass., last year. It also has opened its fourth distribution center.
Moving the headquarters and attached warehouse to Westwood improved efficiency and customer service, according to Sales Manager John Scales Jr.
The new facility sits near a major highway intersection and, at 46,000 square feet, is twice the size of the previous location.
In April, 1995, the company opened its first distribution center in Colonie, N.Y., just outside of Albany. The 7,500-sq.-ft. location has improved distribution times in N.Y., Mr. Scales said.
R.H. Scales also operates warehouses in Springfield, Mass., and Portland, Maine.
