An article in the March 4 issue overstated the growth in tire shipments to the Canadian aftermarket in 1995, compared with 1994, according to the Rubber Association of Canada. The data the RAC supplied TIRE BUSINESS covered tire shipments by its members only. Including non-RAC members, total Canadian passenger tire shipments slipped 3.2 percent in 1995 to 13.4 million units, while shipments of truck and bus tires (including light truck) grew 4.8 percent to 3.21 million units.
