Goodyear tech group teams up
AKRON-To shorten the time between product concept and market introduction, Goodyear restructured its tire technology group Nov. 1 into 21 teams-five teams to serve original equipment vehicle manufacturers, 13 for replacement tire lines and advanced engineering, and three for selected technology initiatives.
Each team has accountability and required skills to deliver the end-product or technology with no hand-offs in the development process, Goodyear said. Core groups, such as tire testing, remain to serve the teams.
