LONDON-Road construction, vehicle makers' expectations of tire makers and energy savings in the tire factory are among the topics slated for discussion during TyreTech '95, the sixth annual international tire industry technical and marketing conference scheduled for Oct. 16-17 in Turin, Italy. The organizers of TyreTech-Crain Communications Ltd. and Rapra Technology Ltd.-also are planning a tire industry conference for Asia, to take place June 3-4, in Singapore, along with a ``tightly focused'' exhibition of equipment and technologies.
For the Turin conference, the organizers have invited representatives of the road construction industry for the first time, to present their side of the transportation matrix, alongside the vehicle makers, tire makers, ingredient suppliers, and informed observers of the tire industry traditionally present at the two-day conference.
A detailed session on tire design will include four presentations, by Bridgestone/Firestone Europe, Goodyear and Fiat S.p.A., covering noise, fuel economy and design optimization.
Other sessions will cover product liability in the tire industry, tire design for fuel economy and pricing trends.
The conference also will include a session on retreading performance, tire disposal in the 21st century and logistics of tire disposal.
TyreTech '95 will be held at Turin's Lignotto conference center, a former Fiat manufacturing plant.
