WASHINGTON-In its continuing effort to improve its trade show, the National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association has established two committees to facilitate exhibitor input. The association announced Sept. 8 that it is forming an Exhibitor Host Committee comprising NTDRA board members, officers and members and a variety of exhibitors, who will form eight two-man teams for the upcoming convention and trade show in New Orleans, Oct. 12-14.
The teams will visit every exhibitor on the show floor twice during the convention to welcome the exhibitors and gather their comments and suggestions.
The new Exhibitor Advisory Committee, chaired by NTDRA Executive Committee Chairperson Pamela Fitzgerald, will include exhibiting tire manufacturers.
The advisory committee will review in advance the exhibitor survey for evaluating the 1995 trade show and evaluate show rules, procedures and logistics for the 1996 show in Atlanta. This committee also will address how exhibitors are meeting the needs of the tire dealer and retreader, the NTDRA said.
