NASHVILLE, Tenn.-Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. is offering dealership sales personnel some ``plastic cash'' as part of an education and sales incentive program that will run through November. The ``Driving Force'' program, launched in April, requires the salesperson to pass a minimum of three BFS education modules, which include over-the-phone tests, in order to become eligible for a recently debuted BFS MasterCard.
BFS will then credit the salesperson's MasterCard account based on his/her tire sales.
``We believe this type of sales incentive program is more beneficial to the people who sell our products and, ultimately, the consumer because our sales force will be more knowledgeable about our tire lines,'' said Mike Cerio, Bridgestone consumer marketing manager.
The incentive program covers Bridgestone and Firestone performance, touring and recreational light truck tire lines.
The specially designed credit card, also launched in April, features the Bridgestone and Firestone logos and the image of the Bridgestone Potenza S-02, one of the company's newest tires.
