HOBERMAN NAVED DEL-NAT CHAIRMAN

    MEMPHIS, Tenn.-Del-Nat Tire Corp. recently announced that Jerry Hoberman of Omaha, Neb.-based Tires Inc. has become chairman of the

    board for the private brand tire marketer.

    Memphis-based Del-Nat also announced it has expanded its board of

    directors from six to 10 members.

    The new board members are: Bill Kepple, secretary, Marty's Tire

    (Export Tire), Charleston, W.Va.; Ray Carr Jr., treasurer, Ray Carr

    Tire, Harrisonburg, Va.; Earl Baynard, Tire-State Delta, Statesville,

    N.C.; Bill Brown, Brown Distributing, Stillwater, Okla.; John

    Gianatassio, Brown Tire, Phoenix; Brad Goldstein, Allen Rubber Co.,

    Philadelphia; Dan Gracious, G.B.A. Inc., Lombard, Ill.; Bert Johnson,

    Gay Johnson Tire, Denver; and Jim Johnson, Jim Johnson Tire,

    Anchorage, Alaska.

    Del-Nat, which markets Delta, National and Akuret brands, is made up

    of 65 independent tire dealer stockholders in the U.S. and Puerto

    Rico.

    CONTINENTAL GENERAL TIRE-Edward J. Johndrow, to assistant manager,

    marketing and sales operations for the company's Commercial Division-was commercial product manager.

    COOPER TIRE & RUBBER CO.-Jack E. Brown, to divisional credit manager-was regional credit manager.

    Jedd A. Emans, to account manager for private brands and mass merchandiser sales-was a store manager for Cooper Service in Texarkana, Ark.

    John F. Pecoraro, to product marketing manager-was a territory sales manager in the southern region.

    DOBBS TIRE & AUTO CENTERS INC.-Jim Bernardini, to vice president and chief financial officer of the St. Louis-based dealership-was director of operations.

    DUNLOP TIRE CORP.-Mark W. Bath, to general credit manager-was a division credit manager.

    ELDORADO TIRE DISTRIBUTORS INC.-John K. Thomas Jr., to western regional sales manager-was an independent sales and marketing agent in the tire industry.

    GOODYEAR-Donn P. Kramer, to general manager of Terra Tire and farm tire business-was marketing manager for medium commercial tires.

    Michael R. Thomann, to general manager of off-the-road tire business, replacing Thomas Dow, who moved to a special assignment reporting to the vice president of marketing-was general manager of Terra Tire and farm tire business.

    KELLY-SPRINGFIELD TIRE CO.-M.H. ``Marty'' Connor, to manager, product distribution-was a marketing administrator. Wayne Martin will handle Mr. Connor's former duties.

    J.A. ``Annie'' Whetzel, to a marketing administrator-was a customer sales and service rep.

    MAC CORP.-Norman Kramer, retired after a long career as director of international sales and assistant to the president for the company's Saturn Shredders Division.

    MEADOWLANDS TIRE DISTRIBUTORS INC.-Jim Petrozzello, to (wholesale) sales manager-was a regional sales manager for a private label tire company.

    MOOG AUTOMOTIVE-Edward J. O'Leary Jr., to vice president, sales and marketing, replacing John Gethin, who resigned-was national sales manager for Monroe Auto Equipment.
