QUINCY, Ill.-Amounting to what might be called a no-bull pledge, Titan Wheel International Inc. has redesigned its Titan Tire subsidiary's logo. Gone: the charging red bull-replaced by an ``all-American'' creature that is a combination Texas longhorn and buffalo.
The farm tire manufacturer said the logo redesign was meant to eliminate confusion between the Titan logo and that of Taurus International Inc., a Hungarian tire company which uses a bull as its symbol.
``This creature is one tough American animal, which symbolizes an even tougher tire line,'' explained Maurice Taylor Jr., the company's president and CEO.
