FULLERTON, Calif.-Yokohama Tire Corp. plans to consolidate its operations in the Southeast during the second quarter of 1995 with the opening of a 252,000-sq.-ft. distribution center near Atlanta. The move will improve customer service and allow faster response to market needs, the company said. The facility, under construction in the Horizon Technology and Distribution Park, adjacent to Interstate 85 in Gwinnett County, Ga., will replace the company's distribution center in Savannah, Ga., as well as house its regional sales office, currently in Atlanta. Cost of the project was not disclosed.
