LANSING, Mich.-The Michigan Tire & Vehicle Service Association, a division of the Michigan Retailers Association, will help promote safety belt use during a summer campaign with the Michigan State Police Office of Highway Safety Planning. The MRA is providing 50 free cardboard windshield sunscreens with the message ``Seatbelts-Live it up this summer'' to each of the first 70 auto service members who sign up to participate.
The MRA is planning to launch the promotion, the first of its kind in the state, during the July 4 holiday weekend. The windshield screens, to be used in connection with vehicle safety inspections offered by the dealers, also bear the MRA logo.
