LONDON-William F. Milliken, a leading independent expert in the field of automotive dynamics and tire mechanics, will keynote ``TyreTech '94,'' the fifth annual international tire industry technical and commercial conference, Oct. 24-25 in Munich, Germany. Mr. Milliken's keynote presentation, ``Tire Data-The Key to Vehicle Simulation,'' will set the stage for 17 other papers addressing the conference theme: ``Technological Responses to the Changing Market.'' Mr. Milliken is founder and chairman of Milliken Research Associates Inc. in Williamsville, N.Y., a Buffalo suburb.
In addition to the conference, which will be held at the ``TuV Akademie'' in Munich, delegates will have the opportunity to visit the nearby TuV tire testing center, recognized as Europe's leading independent tire testing operation.
The TyreTech program will feature presentations divided among the automotive industry, materials and machinery suppliers, and the tire industry itself. Of particular interest will be papers from Colombian Chemicals Co. and PPG Industries Inc. on the use of silica and new carbon blacks to enhance rolling resistance in tires.
