Ingersoll-Rand Co.'s Tool and Hoist Power Tool Division has introduced the IR255, a 3/4-inch drive, heavy-duty air impact wrench for heavy truck, equipment and agricultural machinery applications. The wrench, which measures 9-1/2 inches in length and weighs 10 pounds, offers 900 ft.-lbs. of torque and 1,100 blows per minute, rated at 90 psi. A four-position power regulator helps prevent over-tightening, the company said.
The tool comes with a 360-degree swivel inlet sleeve for air hose connections and features oil-bath lubrication.

Tracer Products, a unit of Spectronics Corp., has introduced its Tracerline UV-Fluorescent Leak Detection System for use with fleet maintenance programs.
The system is effective on refrigerants, oil, coolant, power steering fluid, gasoline and diesel fuels, mobile hydraulics and automatic transmission fluid. A fluorescent fluid is circulated through a system and later checked with an ultraviolet lamp. The company said the dye can safely remain in the system for later maintenance checks.

Atkins Technical Inc. has introduced the PM Minder, a preventive maintenance alarm system that the company said allows managers to plan effective maintenance schedules.
The monitor is programmed with the time, date and total number of hours and mileage the equipment is allowed to run before a service is scheduled. The unit then signals operators with an alarm when maintenance is needed. The operating information can be downloaded from the system. PM Minder is distributed by Illinois Auto Central.

Oliver Rubber Co.'s Pneuflex loader provides a means of retreading that does not distort the casing when loaded into a mold, the company said. The company's Pneuflex process utilizes aspects of both precure and mold cure retreading.

Pennzoil Products Co. has introduced two Gumout-brand spray cleaners for fuel injectors and carburetors.
The company said its Ultra Fuel Injector & Carburetor Cleaner cleans fuel systems, removes water from the gas tank and also cleans injectors, carburetors, PCV and intake valves and intake ports. It also helps protect engine parts from rust and corrosion, the company said.
The Tune-Up Spray for Fuel-Injected Engines is said to eliminate built-up combustion deposits within air intake systems and preserve protective coatings on butterfly valves and manifolds.
According to Pennzoil, the product also reduces emissions and adds an oil film that lubricates the valve and other moving parts.

The product is availabile in 15-ounce aerosol cans. According to BioChem, it quickly and safely cleans grease, oil, brake dust, brake fluid and other substances from brake shoes, drums and other parts.
The non-toxic cleaning fluid does not flash-dry, the company said, meaning the user has a longer time to clean the parts and, ultimately, can save costs because fewer applications of the cleaner are needed.

Vented hub caps
The new Dual-Guard hub caps from Dual Dynamics Inc. have a patented, vented design, including a bronze plug that releases excessive pressure within the hub/axle assembly without letting in water or other contaminants, the company said.
The product is available in either oil or grease hub designs and with a variety of bolt-hole or threaded mounting patterns. The company said the porous bronze plug inserted into a vent opening in the aluminum alloy casting allows gases to pass through but is impervious to debris and liquids.

Exhaust hose reel
Nederman Inc.'s Model 50 spring-operated exhaust hose reel vents tailpipe exhaust emissions from vehicles during servicing, the company said.
Mounted on a wall or ceiling, the lightweight hose is then connected to a shop's fan or central duct system. A ratchet system locks the hose at the desired length during use, the company said, and retracts it when not needed. The unit is available with 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-inch diameter hose.

Locking lug nut
Wheel lock installation and removal-even in the dark-is quick and easy, according to McGard Inc., with the company's new shrouded key/lock lug nuts.
The key is placed over the lug nut lock, then turned until the key pattern engages, the company said. Each key is specially coded to ensure maximum theft protection.
The company said the locks are made of high quality alloy steel which has been through-hardened and chrome plated.
