LOUISVILLE, Ky.-The American Retreaders' Association plans to accommodate the growing number of international visitors to its annual convention and trade show by introducing a workshop in Spanish at the 1995 conference. The 38th ARA World Tire Conference and Exhibition will be held April 6-8 at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center in Louisville under the theme ``Challenges, changes and opportunities in the world of tires.''
The ARA said that more than 10 percent of those attending its 1994 conference hailed from 52 foreign countries. That prompted the ARA board to develop the workshop in Spanish for international visitors, as well as Spanish-speaking Americans, that will consist of an update and overview of the global retreading industry.
If this program is well-received, the ARA said the session will become a part of the annual program.
The 1995 event also will offer attendees an opportunity to visit the ARA International Headquarters and Training Center in Louisville. The ARA has scheduled several events at its headquarters, including an open house/cookout and a workshop comprising a tour of the testing laboratory and retread plant and an overview of the ARA training class curriculum.
The show schedule will also include an industry forum, seminars on truck tires and tire recycling, workshops and trade show.
