LOUISVILLE, Ky.-About 100 retreaders are expected to converge on Louisville, Oct. 26-27, for ``Hawkinson Retread 94,'' a biennial customer gathering hosted by the Paul E. Hawkinson Co. Raymond P. ``Gus'' Hawkinson Jr., president and CEO of the Minneapolis-based retread equipment and materials supplier, said the meeting's purpose is to bring the company's dealers together for discussions and two days of management and sales training.
The gathering, usually held in Minneapolis, this year is taking place at the Louisville headquarters and training center of the American Retreaders' Association. Mr. Hawkinson said the site was chosen for the facilities it offers plus its close proximity to Hawkinson customers in Kentucky and other surrounding states.
Heino A.P. Beckmann of the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., will deliver the keynote address on management accounting and cash flow analysis.
In addition to Hawkinson officials, other speakers will include: ARA Executive Director Marvin Bozarth and Training Director Bob Majewski; Jeff Wilson of McGriff Treading Co., Cullman, Ala.; Bob Deal of Robert Deal & Associates, Atlanta; Jack McCammond of Michelin North America; Dale Overton of Accuride; and Buck Blair of Tech International Inc.
