LOUISVILLE, Ky.-Dean Tire & Rubber Co. introduced an aquachannel tire and a speed-rated touring light truck tire during its annual dealer incentive program, April 13-19, in Lucerne, Switzerland. The private brand distributor debuted its Dean Rainstar passenger radial featuring a non-directional, four-ribbed tread design with a deep center groove. The line will be available by August in six sizes and feature a 60,000-mile treadwear warranty, said John Fitzgerald, Dean's vice president of marketing.
Dean also announced plans to expand its Wildcat Touring A/T speed-rated light truck tire line, which features performance characteristics for recreational enthusiasts.
The company also added nine 70-series sizes to its Dean Alpha 365 economy passenger radial line targeted at value-minded consumers.
Dean plans to expand other existing lines this year, as well as debut an all-steel light truck radial, Mr. Fitzgerald said.
The company said its 1995 incentive program will culminate in a Caribbean cruise.
