BUFFALO, N.Y.-More than 170 Dunlop Tire Corp. dealers are heading to Monte Carlo, Monaco, after successfully completing their ``missions'' by reaching preset purchasing goals, according to the Buffalo-based tire maker. The dealers, who met their quotas during a 5 1/2-month period that ended April 15, are scheduled to leave the U.S. May 25 for the small principality, which is situated in the middle of the French Riviera.
The six-day, trip-for-two package was offered as an incentive in Dunlop Tire's latest promotion, ``Mission: Monte Carlo,'' which was modeled after the popular television show, Mission: Impossible.
To help create excitement during the promotion, Dunlop mailed dealers taped material in the spirit of the TV show.
The company said tire sales during the promotion were in line with its projections.
