WASHINGTON-The National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association and Bank One, Dayton NA, have created an in-store promotional package intended for dealers using the recently revamped Money Express credit card. The free promotional package-built around the program's six- and 12-month same-as-cash credit options-has been delivered to the more than 2,000 participating dealers with 3,000-plus locations, the NTDRA said.
The promotion kit, provided by Bank One, includes store banners, newspaper advertising slicks, logo art for direct mail promotions, radio ad scripts, counter cards, posters and customer brochures.
Additional kits are available to Money Express dealers at no cost.
The package also contains a sales and marketing manual to help individual dealers implement the promotional campaign.
The credit card program, which was revamped at the end of last year, now provides six-month and 12-month same-as-cash options dealers can offer on every item in their stores.
By the end of the year, the NTDRA said it intends to improve the approval rate for credit card applicants to 50 percent.
The approval rate for the last quarter of 1993 averaged 45 percent. Approximately half of the association's members offer the card.
