NEW ORLEANS-At its recent dealer meeting in New Orleans, the Dayton Tire division of Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. debuted three new tires for 1994, to be offered later this year to Dayton and Road King dealers. The first is a premium S-rated passenger radial, introduced into the Dayton lineup as the Quadra LTE, and into the Road King lineup as the Grenadier LTE.
Though possessing different tread designs, the two tires have the same construction and carry a 55,000-mile limited warranty and UTQG ratings of 420 for treadwear, ``A'' for traction and ``B'' for temperature resistance.
Both will be available in seven 75- and seven 70-series sizes.
The Dayton Quadra LTE will be available to dealers by mid-year; the Road King Grenadier LTE, during the third quarter.
Also available during the third quarter will be the Trans Trac Radial AT, an economically priced light truck radial for all-terrain service, that will be offered as part of both the Dayton and Road King lines.
The Trans Trac features a polyester cord body with twin steel belts and will come in nine sizes: two P-metric, five LT-metric and two flotation sizes.
