WASHINGTON-Russell H. Lehman, 79, retired president of Lehman's Tire Co. and a past president of the National Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association, died of congestive heart failure March 5 in Washington. Mr. Lehman, who served as NTDRA president in 1971-72, was the second person in his family to hold that honor. His late father, David Lehman, was NTDRA president in 1950-51.

Mr. Lehman also was co-chairman of the Boys and Girls Committee of the Kiwanis Club, an Elks member and on the Metropolitan Washington Board of Trade.
Mr. Lehman's daughter, Lynda Schuermann, continues both the family business and the family's record of service with the NTDRA. Ms. Schuermann has served as both corporate secretary and assistant treasurer of the association, and is scheduled to become a member of the NTDRA Insurance Trust.
Mr. Lehman also is survived by his stepmother, a stepbrother, three sons, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
