SEOUL, South Korea-Hankook Tire Manufacturing Co. Ltd. has made a number of upper-level management changes at its U.S. subsidiary, Hankook Tire America Corp., that ``reflect the importance of the North American organization to its global marketing efforts,'' the company said. H.K. Kim has been promoted to vice president and will continue to oversee the company's U.S. operations.
Previously executive managing director, Mr. Kim has been with Hankook Tire America for more than 12 years.
J.K. Choi, who served the past eight years as executive vice president for Hankook Tire America, has been named executive managing director of sales and marketing for the overseas market.
Mr. Choi has relocated to Hankook's headquarters in Seoul.
Hankook Tire America Marketing Manager Don Kim has been named to manage the North American market and will relocate to the Seoul headquarters beginning in March. Mr. Kim has been marketing manager for the past five years.
Jack Kim, previously western region office manager based in Los Angeles, has been named manager of South American operations and will work out of the Seoul office.
Don Kim and Jack Kim are scheduled to leave the U.S. at the end of February, according to a company representative. The company has yet to announce their replacements.
Hankook said it posted worldwide sales of $700 million and North American sales of $140 last year.
