ANAHEIM, Calif.-Tom Stilley, former executive director of the California Tire Dealers & Retreaders Association-South, died Oct. 30, after suffering a heart attack at his Anaheim home. He was 65. He began his tire industry career in 1954, when he joined the former Firestone Tire & Rubber Co., eventually becoming a West Coast division retread manager.
In 1966, he bought Jerry Hall Tire, Costa Mesa, Calif. He sold it 16 years later to Globe Tire Co.
He headed the CTDRA-South from 1987-92, then joined Dapper Tire Co. in Garden Grove, Calif., as a manager of government sales.
He leaves his wife and a son.
