COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Global Rubber Industrties Ltd. (GRI) is adding eight sizes to its existing range of Green XLR agriculture and construction tires.

GRI has enhanced its Green XLR Earth 70, Green XLR 85 and Green XLR 70 tractor radial and XPT+ Skid Steer construction ranges to offer customers more options and more efficient tire solutions.

"We are excited to add eight new sizes to our agriculture and construction tire ranges, providing our customers with more options to choose from," GRI CEO Mahesha Ranasoma said.

GRI's Green XLR 85 is a radial agriculture tire made with stubble compound.

The Green XLR Earth 70, a radial agriculture tire made with 37.5% sustainable material, is now available in size 480/70R34 with a 149A8/B load index.

The tire offers an eco-friendly solution for farming and construction applications, GRI said, and is made with highly dispersible silca in the tread compound that provides longer tire life and lower rolling resistance for increased fuel efficiency and reduced energy consumption.

The tire is designed for heavy-duty applications with a wide footprint and rounded tread lugs that minimize soil damage and compaction.

The Green XLR 85 series, a radial agriculture tire made with a stubble-resistant compound, is now available in five new sizes — 520/85R42, 520/85R46, 480/80R46, 480/80R50 & 480/80R50.

The tire offers a 45-degree lug angle with traction for on-road and off-road applications and increased productivity during long working hours. A new tie bar design prevents center lug cracks under high loads.

The Green XLR 70, made for on- and off-road use, comes in size 480/70R34 size with a 155D load index. The tire's flexible sidewall offers higher rider comfort, less fatigue and minimum soil compaction in the field.

A reinforced tread buttress maximizes tread depth, offering more support at the base for heavy-duty applications such as soil preparation and road transport.

GRI's XPT+ Skid Steer Construction range has one new size, 31x15.5-15 with 10PR, making it more versatile for different types of machinery.

The tire's three-step lug design provides higher lug stability, strength, and traction, and a self-cleaning terrace keeps the tire clean and the machine energy efficient in all working conditions. The tire has a reinforced sidewall with high-ply construction for better side impact protection.

GRI said the expansion will strengthen its position as a leading provider of specialty tires globally.

GRI's U.S. office is located in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
