Telle Tire acquires 2 stores near Kansas City

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. — Telle Tire & Auto Centers has acquired The Auto Clinic, a two-store operation in Lee's Summit, Mo., a suburb of Kansas City.

One location, Midwest Auto Clinic, is a Goodyear-branded store that will be rebadged as Telle Tire in the upcoming months, the dealership said.

Nearby, The Auto Clinic, which focuses primarily on in-depth diagnostics and repair, will retain its identity.

Telle Tire, which purchased the business from owners Gene and Beth Fellows, said it will retain all 15 employees.

Lee's Summit is a growing suburb of Kansas City and greatly expands the dealership's Kansas City footprint, President and CEO Aaron Telle said.

This marks Telle Tire's second acquisition in the Kansas City market since buying KC Complete Automotive in March 2020.

The newest acquisition increases Telle Tire's store count to seven in the Kansas City market and 22 total throughout Missouri.

Telle said the dealership plans to continue expanding through acquisition and is focused on acquiring well-run, small family-owned businesses.

Telle recently opened a 14,000-sq.-ft. dealership and company headquarters in Webster Groves, Mo., in a former Subaru dealership.
