BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Service Tire Truck Centers (STTC) has acquired Giant Tire Service Inc. (GTS), a Hawthorne, N.J.-based dealership with eight commercial tire sales and service locations throughout New Jersey.
The acquisition "further enables the company to service all of New Jersey," STTC said, noting that GTS has been widely recognized for its exceptional truck and earthmover services over the past several decades.
Financial details of the deal are not being disclosed.
GTS co-owners Dave and Denise Landau will stay in their management roles after the acquisition.
STTC President and CEO Walt Dealtrey said he deemed the acquisition as "an ideal match for both organizations."
He emphasized the extensive lineage and service-orientation that both GTS and STTC have cultivated over multiple generations and described GTS as a well-managed family enterprise with a deeply ingrained commitment to service excellence.
In April, STTC opened a commercial facility in Wall, N.J., serving as a strategic replacement for the closed Edwards Tire Co., which had also built a strong business with its specialization in earthmover services, STTC said.
With this acquisition, Bethlehem-based STTC's network expands to 54 commercial service locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
