TORONTO — Mufflerman Inc. has acquired five EuroMechanic-branded automotive car repair and tire locations in the greater Toronto and Guelph areas from Carflex Group.
Mufflerman — which strengthened its retail tire bonafides in early 2022 with the acquisition of Superior Tire & Auto Inc. — said the five shops will continue to operate under the EuroMechanic identity,specializing in the repair, service and tires for European automobiles.
The five stores are: Bloor West Auto, in Mississauga, Brock Road Garage in Guelph, McDermott Motors in Toronto, McNally Auto in North York, and Redline Automotive in Scarborough. Each is co-branded with the EuroMechanic name.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Mufflerman President Costa Haitas said his company was "drawn to EuroMechanic's business model, because of its operations, and the similarity in their employee engagement and customer service to that of Mufflerman.
"The combination of EuroMechanic's scale and niche expertise combined with our supplier and vendor relationships will provide customers with even greater savings, options and service."
Founded in 1964, Mufflerman operates 28 locations throughout the treater Toronto area and southwestern Ontario. Among them are 10 franchised outlets under the Superior Tire & Auto brand.
