ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Monro Inc. has completed a pair of previously disclosed acquisitions in California comprising nine retail tire and auto repair stores that it's converting to the Tire Choice brand, expanding its network of stores in the Golden State to 49.
The latest acquisitions are six S&S Unlimited Inc. — d.b.a. Skip's Tire & Auto — stores in the San Jose area and three Lloyd's Tire Service locations in the Santa Cruz area.
These stores complement the 40 Certified Tire & Service Centers Inc. Monro bought in March and boost the Tire Choice brand to a dozen locations in northern California in and around the San Francisco Bay area.
Monro had indicated in its second quarter earnings report it had pending agreements for these acquisitions, which represent $25 million in annualized sales, with a sales mix of 55% service and 45% tires.
Monro also recently closed on the acquisition of Superior Tire & Service, adding 14 stores in Nevada and four in Idaho to the Tire Choice brand in the West.
