CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Driven Brands Inc., the parent company of Meineke Car Care Centers, claims it now is the largest auto aftermarket services company in North America following its acquisition of International Car Wash Group (ICWG).
With the addition of ICWG's 184 locations in the U.S. and 925 worldwide, Driven Brands said its portfolio companies now represent over 4,000 locations in 15 countries, generating approximately $3.8 billion in annual systemwide sales.
It claims to now be the largest automotive aftermarket services company by location count in North America.
Driven Brands is a portfolio company of Roark Capital and has completed more than 35 acquisitions over the past five years. ICWG has been owned by Roark Capital since August 2017.
In addition to ICWG and Meineke, Driven's portfolio includes Take 5 Oil Change, Automotive Training Institute, Maaco, CARSTAR, ABRA, Uniban, 1-800-Radiator & A/C and PH Vitres d'Autos.
Centennial, Colo.-based ICWG operates more than 925 locations in 14 countries in the U.S., Australia and across Europe.
Founded in Germany in 1965 under the IMO brand, ICWG entered the U.S. market in 2015 and operates under the Car Wash USA Express, Goo-Goo Express and Supersonic Car Wash brands.
