LOGAN, Utah — Jack's Tire & Oil Inc., one of the 25 largest commercial dealerships in the U.S., is merging with A&E Tire Inc. of Colorado Springs, Colo., effective April 1.
When merged Jack's Tire and A&E Tire will generate about $150 million in revenue, according to Jack's Tire President and CEO Bob Feldbauer, with 17 locations and six Michelin Retread plants.
Logan-based Jack's Tire operates 12 locations — three commercial, eight commercial/retail and one retail — in Arizona, California, Idaho and Utah. A&E Tire has five locations in Colorado.
Jack's Tire is ranked by Tire Business as the 23rd largest commercial tire dealership in the U.S., based on 2018 sales of $67 million. The merged operations would bump up into the top 15.
Jack's Tire also is ranked as the 18th largest commercial retreader in the U.S., based on tread rubber used during 2018. Both Jack's Tire and A&E Tire are Michelin Retread Technologies-licensed retreaders.
A&E Tire has been doing business in Colorado since 1986. The Better Business Bureau lists Ed and Patricia Elliott as owners.
