CHARLESTON, S.C. — Frasier Tire Service Inc. has opened a retail tire location in Charleston, its fourth store in the state.
Frasier Tire, predominantly a Goodyear tire dealership, took over a former Dorsey Tire Co. Inc. shop — that previously was Gibson Wheel Alignment & Tire Service.
The acquired store, which has four bays and 10 employees, will offer automotive, brake and all tire services ranging from small wheelbarrow tires to passenger/light truck and commercial tire services and roadside services. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
"This expansion allows us to better serve the ever-growing Charleston community and provide the best-in-class care to our existing customers in the region," Julian Frasier, founder and CEO of Frasier Tire, said.
Frasier Tire celebrated its 50th anniversary this year.
"We have just celebrated 50 years of being in South Carolina as a Goodyear Tire and independent dealer this past March. What better way to celebrate your business than to grow it for both our great employees and great customers. We look forward to continually being a big part of the tire business in South Carolina and the neighboring region."
Founded in 1974 in Sumter, S.C., Frsier Tire's other retail stores are in Coluimbia, North Charleston and Sumter along with a warehouse/wholesale center in Sumter.
The dealership participates in Goodyear's Tire & Service Network and Fleet HQ programs.
