STAUNTON, Va, — Fisher Auto Parts has acquired Rowe Auto Service, an auto parts supplier headquartered in Oneonta, N.Y.
The deal includes includes a 217,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in Chicopee, Mass. That location is expected to open in March, 2025.
Staunton-based Fisher Auto Parts, a founding member of Federated Auto Parts Distributors, said this marks its third acquisition in recent months, including Berrodin Parts Warehouse in October 2023. Fisher also has opened 32 greenfield locations in 2024, in addition to 30 locations it opened in 2023.
Fisher Auto Parts said that family-owned Rowe Auto Service "is known for its expert product knowledge, professional service and comprehensive inventory availability since its inception."
The Odell and Hogan families owned and operated the business for nearly 60 years. Howard J. Odell and Joseph R. Hogan purchased the business in June 1964 from the original Rowe brothers. Their sons, Lance E. Odell and Joseph D. Hogan, worked in the business and, in June 1995, bought the company from their fathers.
The younger Odell and Hogan will remain with Fisher Auto Parts beyond the transition.
Gary Shifflett, area vice president of Fisher Auto Parts, said Rowe Auto Service is a good fit for Fisher Auto Parts.
We plan to grow market share in this region, so we are very pleased that Lance and Joe agreed to pass the torch to us, and we thank them for staying on to help with the transition,” he said.
Fisher Auto Parts has approximately 500 company-owned locations, as well as more than 100 independent jobbers in 19 states. The company has more than quadrupled in size over the last decade through a combination of same store sales, new stores and acquisitions.
Fisher Auto Parts has approximately 5,700 employees.
