STAUNTON, Va. — Fisher Auto Parts has acquired Berrodin Parts Warehouse, headquartered in Drexel Hill, Penn. Both businesses are members of Federated Auto Parts Distributors.
"We are very excited that Berrodin Parts Warehouse has joined the Fisher family," Fisher Auto Parts President Herb Godschalk said. "The Berrodin family has done an incredible job growing their business from one small store in the Philadelphia area to nine warehouses covering the mid-Atlantic states. We plan to build on their great success and continue the goodwill they have developed with their broad customer base."
Berrodin employs more than 400 people and has nine warehouses in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware. The family-owned and operated business was founded in 1905 and is today a full-line distributor of major, name-brand aftermarket auto parts, "providing OEM-quality and express delivery as well as training, marketing and signage programs for its independent installer customers."
Financial details were not disclosed.
As part of the deal, the Berrodin family will remain involved in the business: John Berrodin will lead as regional manager for Fisher Auto Parts, Jim Berrodin will serve as a store support manager and Lou Berrodin as operations manager. Frank Berrodin Jr. will return to retirement at the conclusion of the acquisition.
Fisher Auto Parts is the founding member of Federated Auto Parts Distributors and now has about 5,500 employees, 500 company-owned locations and more than 100 independent jobbers in 18 states.
Earlier this year, Fisher acquired Market Street Auto Parts of Jonestown, Pa., and Massachusetts-based Bagnell Auto Supply.
