STAUNTON, Va. — Fisher Auto Parts has acquired Massachusetts-based Bagnell Auto Supply, its second acquisition in a little more than two months.
The deal includes seven Massachusetts locations — Hanover, Marshfield, Quincy, Randolph, Rockland, Stoughton and Weymouth — in addition to the central warehouse and company headquarters in Rockland.
Earlier, Fisher Auto Parts disclosed it had acquired Market Street Auto Parts L.L.C., located in Jonestown, Pa. Market Street has served North Lebanon County in Pennsylvania for more than 16 years.
Bagnell Auto Supply has served the south shore area of Massachusetts for more than 36 years, according to Fisher Auto Parts, which called Bagnell a "trusted auto parts supplier" that "has developed multi-generational relationships with service facilities throughout its local markets, providing outstanding service and competitively supplying the correct products for the proper applications to their diverse customer base."
Fisher Auto Parts President Herb Godschalk said Tom and Craig Borr purchased the first Bagnell location in 1986 in Rockland, strategically growing the company's footprint, personnel and dependable drivers, "all good for Fisher Auto Parts."
Godschalk said Craig Borr will be the regional manager to oversee the business, while Tom Borr will retire.
Founded in 1929 by Blair Coiner, Fisher Auto Parts is the founding member of Federated Auto Parts Distributors and has around 500 company-owned locations plus over 100 independent jobbers in 18 states.
