COLUMBIA, Mo. — Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers Inc. has acquired Complete Custom Automotive (CCA), a Columbia-based family-owned dealership with five locations in Missouri.
The deal, for which terms were not disclosed, expands High Ridge, Mo.-based Dobbs Tire's footprint to 41 locations in Missouri and 56 points of sale overall in its three-state business area, with one more, in O'Fallon, Mo., due to open soon.
Columbia, Mo.-CCA operated three retail locations in Columbia, one in Jefferson City and one in St. Louis. The dealership was founded by Meir Lazar in 1976.
"The acquisition of CCA seamlessly aligns with our business strategy of expanding in Missouri and other geographies through acquisitions and new retail-store openings," Dobbs Tire President Dustin Dobbs said.
"This transaction also strengthens our nearly 50-year commitment to providing greater accessibility and convenience to deliver a first-class customer experience that has distinguished the Dobbs name over that time."
Since its founding in 1976 with a single store in Saint Louis, Dobbs Tire has expanded to 56 retail locations in Missouri, Illinois and Texas.
Earlier in January, Dobbs' opened its 51st store, a location in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.
