AUSTIN, Texas — Big Brand Tire & Service has moved into the Oklahoma market with the acquisition of Robertson Tire Co., a family-owned dealership with 14 locations in the Tulsa market.
Founded in 1962 by Ted Robertson, and later operated by his sons Mark and Rick, Robertson Tire serves the greater Tulsa area with six location in Tulsa, two in Broken Arrow and one each in Bixby, Claremore, Coweta, Glenpool, Muskogee and Owasso, Okla.
The deal — Big Brand Tire's second acquisition in the past six weeks — expands the company's reach to 227 points of sale throughout six states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. Big Brand acquired Tires to You, an Austin, Texas-based dealership with seven locations throughout the Austin metro area.

The Robertson family will continue to play a role in the company, with three family members representing the family's third generation remaining part of the leadership team to ensure a smooth transition, Big Brand said.
Big Brand Tire offers a comprehensive range of automotive services, including alignments, brakes, oil changes and suspension work.

The acquisitions of Robertson Tire and Tires to You solidifies Big Brand Tire's status as the seventh largest independent retail tire dealership in the U.S., according to Tire Business' annual rankings.
