SPENCER, Iowa — Arnold Motor Supply, a Midwest-based automotive parts chain, has purchased the Central Parts and Machine stores in central Nebraska.
Central Parts and Machine has been in business since 1963, with locations in Columbus and Albion, Neb.
"As I began to look towards the future, I realized that we needed to formalize a plan to ensure that our customers are taken care of today and in the future," said the company's previous owner, Al Kluever, who will stay on to run the machine shop operations at the Columbus location. "Arnold Motor Supply has the same dedication to customer service that we do. They also started as a family-owned business and have built a strong presence in Nebraska."
The Central Parts and Machine stores will be re-branded to Arnold Motor Supply, joining over 60 other locations throughout the Midwest. The stores' inventory will expand with replacement parts from national brands like Bosch, Deka batteries and Perfect Stop brakes and high-carbon rotors.
"We are expanding our family of stores and are thrilled to have the current Central Parts team members be a part of it," said Mike Molle, Arnold Motor Supply's VP of Store Operations. "The same friendly and knowledgeable team the Columbus and Albion communities have relied on for the last several decades will stay on."
Arnold Motor Supply is a member of the Auto Value network of independent distributors, auto parts stores and professional service repair shops.
The Arnold Group of Companies includes Arnold Motor Supply, Auto Value, Industrial Paint Solutions, Auto Refinish Solutions, Midwest Cylinder Head and Machine, Specialty Sales of Omaha and The Merrill Company.
