AKRON (Aug. 25, 2014) — Charles W. Hamad, owner and president of Hamad Tire Inc., died Aug. 21 in Akron.
Mr. Hamad, 65, founded Hamad Tire in 1969. Today the predominantly Goodyear dealership has four locations—in Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Mansfield and Sandusky, Ohio. The dealership earned the distinction of best tire shop in the Akron area in the most recent Akron Canton Hot List voting.
Mr. Hamad is survived by his wife Jennifer (Bishop); sons Charlie, Mike, Bill, Nick and Alex and daughter Chrissy; seven grandchildren; sisters Zara (Wood), Kathy (Lamp) and Stephanie; and brother David.
Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25 at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Homes in Fairlawn, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who wish to make a donation to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
