BETHESDA, Md. (Aug. 12, 2014) — The Auto Care Association (ACA) Category Management Committee will host a monthly webinar series starting Aug. 22 focusing on available data sources that enhance category management skills.
The committee’s webinars will feature a new topic every third Friday of the month, the ACA said.
Each webinar will be 30 minutes long, the ACA said, and will air twice—at 11 a.m. EDT and repeated at 3 p.m. The first webinar on Aug. 22 will be presented by Planalytics Inc., a provider of “business weather intelligence.”
“This series of webinars provide retailers and manufacturers alike the opportunity to gain exposure to the latest technologies, research techniques and data sources without the pressure of a salesman sitting across the desk,” said Mike Lyman, chairman, ACA Category Management Committee.
“This is a great way for them to become familiar with what is available. They can then pursue further conversation if they want to. They also provide solution providers the opportunity to make their case for their products to a broad audience all at once.”
Other presenting companies include Weather Trends International Inc., Market Track L.L.C. and Retail Insights L.L.C. Additionally, Retail Insights’ Webfetch product, a price shop tool that provides down to store level pricing, will also be featured in a webinar. ACA said not all companies are matched to dates and confirmed yet, but additional information can be provided upon request.
