Andreoli adds toolbar navigation to software

A new toolbar has added more functionality to Andreoli’s HITS BPOS point-of-sale shop software.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 6, 2014) — Software developer Andreoli & Associates Inc. has added toolbar navigation to its HITS BPOS point-of-sale shop software to supplement the program’s regular pull-down menu.

“We built the toolbar to cut down on the steps needed to move between frequently used functions,” said President Mike Andreoli. “The result is that the most commonly performed operations are now just one-click away.”

A user can customize the toolbar for each of the primary menus and, once configured, that customized toolbar will follow the user to any workstation, the Huntersville-based company said.

In addition to icons for regular functions, the company said users can add icons for a number of integrations including CARFAX, Epicor ISE, ATD, TCi, TMPSManager and others. More integrations are in the works and will be accessible via the respective vendors’ icons, according to Andreoli.

Titan International and the United Steelworkers union have petitioned the U.S. International Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Commerce seeking relief from OTR tire imports from China, India and Sri Lanka. What’s your opinion?

I wholeheartedly support their action – something needs to be done.

I think it’s a bad idea that could inevitably tie the hands of domestic tire makers.

I oppose any duties against tire importers—they only raise costs for distributors and make it harder to obtain inventory.

I’m kind of on the fence and not sure what’s right, but need more information before deciding.

I don’t really care whether or not relief is granted.
