BOWIE, Md. (July 31, 2014) — The Tire Industry Association’s (TIA) Certified Automotive Training Service (ATS) Advanced Training Course will be offered in Tallahassee, Fla., Oct. 7-10.
The Tallahassee training session is part of TIA’s ATS 2014 Training Tour and will be held at Leon County Schools, 2757 W. Pensacola St. in Tallahassee.
TIA said the training program is a four-day, in-depth classroom and hands-on session that industry professionals can complete in order to go back to their shop and train technicians to prepare them for certifications.
The association has used the train-the-trainer approach to certify more than 85,000 technicians since 1997.
Certified ATS includes safety guidelines and step-by-step procedures for all aspects of passenger and light truck tire service, TIA said, including wheel installation with the proper torque and tire repair. The training also includes a full day of instruction on TPMS. To register or for more information, visit TIA’s website.
