MINNEAPOLIS (July 18, 2014) — Countrywide Tire & Rubber Co. has launched Distribution Network Affinity (DNA), a new umbrella distribution program covering its “LINK” direct container program and “Select” warehouse program.
Countrywide said DNA will allow customers to customize shipments by item and location using any combination of its two distribution models.
The flagship Select program offers a variety of benefits and services, the firm said. Freight is prepaid on all orders, inventory allocation systems allow for consistently high fill rates and all orders are filled within two business days, according to Countrywide. Additional services such as drop shipping, custom labeling, order tracking and shipping notifications also are available.
Through the LINK direct container program, Countrywide’s logistics department provides communication between its factory and customers, who receive shipping updates such as departure from the factory, arrival at a U.S. port, delivery release and a post-delivery follow-up.
“The development of DNA is just another example of how we are constantly listening to our customers’ needs,” said Anne Housh, Countrywide’s vice president of sales. “…DNA will ultimately allow our customers to grow with us, control their profits and provide them with a competitive edge in the industry.”
