TAMPA, Fla. (July 14, 2014) — RNR Custom Wheels & Tire Express recently recognized Marco Morantes, manager of one of its Tampa locations, as the store of the month for June.
RNR made the announcement during its recent managers’ meeting held in Ocala, Fla. Mr. Morantes and his team previously earned the title in February and March.
Each month, the dealership’s store trophy is presented by the current holder to the new recipient based on top points awarded in six performance categories, RNR said. Gregg Winfrey, a store manager in Bradenton, Fla., held the title in April and May and vowed to get the trophy back at the end of July.
“We have a very competitive group of store managers and this monthly award forms the basis of the coveted Manager of the Year Award, which is handed out at the company’s annual meeting in January,” said Larry Sutton, president and founder of Tampa-based RNR.
“This year has just been phenomenal, as every store is at their highest level in our history. Every month so far this year has been a record breaker, and we owe this to the store managers and their teams for keeping their eyes on our No. 1 goal: To focus on our customers while providing the best customer experience in the wheel and tire industry.”
The Store of the Month competition was fostered as a fun way to challenge each RNR outlet to improve every month, according to RNR, and it has worked. “Luckily, we have store managers with teams that are goal-oriented and like to have a good time,” Mr. Sutton said.
“Everyone seems to enjoy the challenge this contest presents, and our team members just keep making RNR even better.”
