VALLEYFIELD, Quebec (July 8, 2014) — Wheel weight maker Plombco Inc. has launched a website to spotlight its Plasteel lead-free wheel weights product line.

The Valleyfield-based company touted its Plasteel weights as “easy to install,” with “exceptional corrosion resistance” while being scratchless, less expensive than lead or zinc weights and meeting OEM standards. The new Plasteel website contains information on the features and benefits of the product along with demonstration video clips, Plombco said, and allows visitors to request a free sample.

The firm also has a dedicated toll-free number—888-558-7854—for customers to talk with a representative about Plombco’s products, which are sold to OEM and aftermarket customers across the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Privately held Plombco has been in business since 1985.

Titan International and the United Steelworkers union have petitioned the U.S. International Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Commerce seeking relief from OTR tire imports from China, India and Sri Lanka. What’s your opinion?

I wholeheartedly support their action – something needs to be done.

I think it’s a bad idea that could inevitably tie the hands of domestic tire makers.

I oppose any duties against tire importers—they only raise costs for distributors and make it harder to obtain inventory.

I’m kind of on the fence and not sure what’s right, but need more information before deciding.

I don’t really care whether or not relief is granted.
