SPARKS, Md. (July 2, 2014) — Apex Tool Group L.L.C. is rebranding its KD Tools products under its GearWrench hand tool brand.

KD Tools debuted in 1919 as one of the first automotive specialty tool brands, according to Apex.

“The news means automotive professionals can now access more tools in more categories under the GearWrench brand,” said Paul Steinweg, director of marketing for Apex Tool Group Automotive.

“End users can feel confident knowing they’ll receive the quality and craftsmanship from KD Tools with cutting edge innovation, which has become synonymous with the GearWrench brand.”

The GearWrench lifetime guarantee comes with all GearWrench tools, including rebranded KD Tools, Apex said. The full line of GearWrench tools is available from mobile distributors, auto parts stores and industrial distributors.

I oppose any duties against tire importers—they only raise costs for distributors and make it harder to obtain inventory.

I’m kind of on the fence and not sure what’s right, but need more information before deciding.
