AKRON (June 24, 2014) — Michael Hochschwender, CEO and president of Smithers/Rapra/Smithers Group Inc., will serve as the keynote speaker at the Tire Society Inc.’s 33rd annual Business Meeting and Conference on Tire Science and Technology.
The conference will be held Sept. 8-10 at the John S. Knight Center in Akron.
Mr. Hockschwender’s talk is titled, “The New Reality of Innovation.”
Other speakers include Tod Laursen, president and professor of mechanical engineering at Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research in the United Arab Emigrates. The banquet presenter is Bela Sandor, professor emeritus at the University of Wisconsin.
