ROANOKE, Va. (June 19, 2014) — Advance Auto Parts Inc. will webcast part of an investor and analyst conference in Boston it plans to conduct on Wednesday, June 25.
The company, a distributor of automotive aftermarket parts, accessories, batteries and maintenance items, will webcast live a management presentation followed by a question and answer session beginning at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The webcast will be available on the investor relations section of its website, and will be archived there until June 25, 2015.
As of April 19, Roanoke-based Advance Auto operated 5,276 company-operated stores, 105 Worldpac branches, and served about 1,400 independently owned Carquest branded stores in 49 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Canada.
Titan International and the United Steelworkers union have petitioned the U.S. International Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Commerce seeking relief from OTR tire imports from China, India and Sri Lanka. What’s your opinion?
|I wholeheartedly support their action – something needs to be done.||
|I think it’s a bad idea that could inevitably tie the hands of domestic tire makers.||
|I oppose any duties against tire importers—they only raise costs for distributors and make it harder to obtain inventory.||
|I’m kind of on the fence and not sure what’s right, but need more information before deciding.||
|I don’t really care whether or not relief is granted.||
