AKRON (June 13, 2014) — With the approach of Father’s Day this weekend, we here at Tire Business know many of our readers have family-run shops.
So we thought it would be fun to celebrate all the fathers in the tire and auto service industry by inviting you to send in pictures of you and your father or grandfather at your shop. You can send it to our Facebook or Twitter pages or email them to email@example.com.
We’ll get your pictures up today and throughout the weekend using #TireDealerDads.
And all of us at Tire Business would like to wish all the dads and grandfathers out there a very happy Father’s Day!
Titan International and the United Steelworkers union have petitioned the U.S. International Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Commerce seeking relief from OTR tire imports from China, India and Sri Lanka. What’s your opinion?
|I wholeheartedly support their action – something needs to be done.||
|I think it’s a bad idea that could inevitably tie the hands of domestic tire makers.||
|I oppose any duties against tire importers—they only raise costs for distributors and make it harder to obtain inventory.||
|I’m kind of on the fence and not sure what’s right, but need more information before deciding.||
|I don’t really care whether or not relief is granted.||
