LAS VEGAS (June 3, 2014) — The deadline is June 27 to reserve rooms at Caesars Palace, host hotel for the Tire Industry Association’s Global Tire Expo in Las Vegas Nov. 3-7.
TIA has reserved a block of rooms — at the conference rate of $185 pernight — in the Roman Tower at Caesars Palace, the association said. After June 27, the room rate will be $215 per night.
The Global Tire Expo begins Nov. 3 with pre-show special events including a cocktail hour, an awards ceremony and a welcome reception, TIA said. The actual expo will take place over the next four days at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
To reserve a room, call 800-221-3531 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Eastern time Monday through Friday, and mention the TIA room rate when calling, according to the trade group.
To register for the expo or obtain more information, go to TIA’s website.
Titan International and the United Steelworkers union have petitioned the U.S. International Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Commerce seeking relief from OTR tire imports from China, India and Sri Lanka. What’s your opinion?
|I wholeheartedly support their action – something needs to be done.||
|I think it’s a bad idea that could inevitably tie the hands of domestic tire makers.||
|I oppose any duties against tire importers—they only raise costs for distributors and make it harder to obtain inventory.||
|I’m kind of on the fence and not sure what’s right, but need more information before deciding.||
|I don’t really care whether or not relief is granted.||
